1.Work principle:

This desanding apparatus harnesses centrifugal separation technology to reliably eliminate sand particles and extraneous contaminants from raw material slurries. Its operational principle is as follows: an eccentrically installed water inlet pipeline connects to the cylindrical main body. As the water-material mixture enters via the cyclone sand inlet, it undergoes tangential movement and spirals downward along the inner wall of the cylinder. Upon reaching a preset section of the conical segment, the flow direction reverses, and the mixture spirals upward along the cylinder’s central axis, with the purified liquid ultimately discharging through the top outlet pipe.
Throughout this cyclical process, centrifugal force and gravitational pull drive sand grains and high-density impurities to adhere to the conical wall, which then slide downward into the bottom slag collection hopper. The hopper is equipped with anti-backflow components that prevent accumulated contaminants from being re-entrained by the upward water flow. When the impurity level accumulates to the predefined threshold, operators merely need to open the manual discharge valve, and the residual water will flush the deposited debris out smoothly and completely.

The desanding hydrocyclone is engineered to remove sand and silt contaminants from the slurries of crushed starch, cassava, and potato materials. It boasts extensive applicability across corn starch, cassava starch, cassava flour, wheat starch, sago, and potato starch processing lines.
